Mom Life Must Haves

Being a mom is both fantastic and exhausting–and sometimes you just want to shout it from the rooftops. Middleboro resident Gina Kirk built a flourishing business by doing just that. She is a mother to three boys and the owner of Mom Life Must Haves, a lifestyle brand that is cute, casual, and dripping in girl power.

Back in 2014, after years of writing a personal blog about her life as a young mother, Kirk decided to walk away from her nine-to-five job in orthodontics to focus on raising her kids. She also thought it would be the perfect time to take her blog to the next level. In 2015 she had the idea to start selling drinkware and other products themed around surviving motherhood and she called her brand Mom Life Must Haves. Encouraged by a growing community of customers and followers, Kirk went on to design a collection of T-shirts, tank tops, hoodies and cozy joggers adorned with empowering messages like: “Rise and Mom,” “Love Like a Mother,” and one of her most popular phrases, “Fueled By Caffeine and Chaos.”

Speaking of coffee, Mom Life Must Haves also operates a secret coffee club. Java fans can sign up for a subscription and each month they will receive a bag of coffee (locally roasted in Bridgewater) in a brand new surprise flavor. These tasty brews pair perfectly with Mom Life ceramic mugs and stainless steel tumblers.

At the end of 2020, Kirk took the next big step in her business by opening up a brick-and-mortar storefront and order fulfillment center in Carver. More than anything, she feels the most gratification from knowing that her brand has created a supportive, judgment-free community of moms from all over the world.  

“Why shouldn’t we embrace and celebrate how chaotic it is being a mom?” says Kirk. “I believe we should, and I also believe we should have one heck of a time while doing it!”
