With her magnetic smile and boundless enthusiasm, Nathalie Ais is the sort of person who puts people at ease as soon as they meet her. A public speaking coach and keynote speaker, she specializes in teaching hesitant wallflowers how to stand confidently in front of an audience and command the room. “When we struggle with public speaking, it isn’t just about nerves, it’s about playing small and letting fear lead,” says Nathalie. “By improving your speaking skills, you can turn ‘I can’t’ into ‘I can,’ and open up doors that were once closed to you.”

For Nathalie, coaching people to own their voice is more than a career—it’s a calling that first began back in high school, when she had the opportunity to coach a shy farm girl through her nerves as she ran for Secretary-Treasurer of the civic leadership program Florida Girls State–and then watched her win the election, “hands-down.” The experience stuck with Nathalie long after she graduated, and helped spark her interest in becoming a public speaking coach. In 2020, she launched ASERTIV, a Quincy-based public speaking coaching business that aims to “turn your number one fear into your number one asset.”

Boasting a bachelor’s degree in government and sociology from Smith College and a Master of Education from Boston College, Nathalie blends academic expertise with lived experience. Named a Top 15 Coach in Boston by Influence Digest Media in 2024, she has delivered keynotes for such organizations as United Rentals, led workshops for business accelerators, and spoken at conferences from New England to Europe. Her mission is clear: help more women step into their power, speak with confidence, and “own their voice.”

Whether working remotely or in person, Nathalie’s coaching equips clients with a polished pitch, compelling storytelling skills, and the confidence to turn opportunities into wins. Her advice for small business owners? “Confidence sells. Rehearse your message, know your wins, and deliver your story with enthusiasm and passion.”
