A certified women’s health nurse practitioner, Shannon Brooks has always had a passion for skincare and wellness. After working in the aesthetics industry for many years, Shannon realized the power of being able to help women feel confident in their own skin. “It inspired me to create a space of my own where clients could feel seen, supported, and taken care of on every level,” says Brooks. In 2022, she took a leap of faith to open Skinplicity Medical Spa, a facility where she and her team offer advanced medical-grade services in a setting that feels warm, calm, and deeply personal.
Located in Bridgewater, Skinplicity Medical Spa derives its name from the notion that skin maintenance doesn’t have to be complicated to be effective. Clients are assessed from a clinical perspective to ensure effective, personalized treatments. “I understand anatomy, skin health, and the science behind the products and procedures that we use so I can provide the most natural, beautiful results for each person that comes through our doors.”
The medical spa offers a wide menu of services ranging from facials and filler injections to sclerotherapy and an IV hydration bar. Two of their most in-demand treatments right now are SkinPen microneedling and Sculptra. Both treatments focus on regeneration rather than quick fixes, which reflects a desire for long-term, natural-looking results. In the near future, Skinplicity will be expanding its offerings to include regenerative medicine, focusing on women’s health as a whole.
Understanding that some clients may feel apprehensive when it comes to medical aesthetics, Shannon and her team take their time during consultations to explain each procedure thoroughly. Shannon believes beauty is deeply personal and isn’t about perfection or chasing trends. “At Skinplicity, we don’t aim to change how you look,” she says. “We want to help you reconnect with your own radiance, to feel refreshed, empowered, and at ease in your skin.” While she admits the experience of owning her own business has been demanding, it has also been incredibly fulfilling. “The most rewarding part has absolutely been the relationships with my team, the aesthetic community, and my clients,” she says. “There’s nothing better than seeing someone leave our space glowing, inside and out.”
