Having launched three luxury med spas in Massachusetts within the last seven years, Colleen Daniels and Heather Vanderveldt are the ultimate boss babes. The co-founders of The DeluxeBar met while working in private practice in Internal Medicine, and bonded over their shared passion for helping people look and feel their best.

The two friends followed similar career paths. Daniels graduated from Stonehill College with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and then went on to a fast track program at MGH Institute of Health Professions where she earned a Masters of Science in Nursing and became a registered nurse and nurse practitioner. Heather Vanderveldt graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2006. She worked as a registered nurse at MGH in the Cardiac Interventional Unit and graduated from UMASS Boston in 2011 with a Master of Science in Nursing. 

Inspired by the growing field of medical aesthetics, they dreamed of opening their own med spa one day. In 2017, the two busy moms made their dreams a reality by establishing The DeluxeBar. "It was scary to take the leap, but we believed in ourselves and we knew that we had each other's back," says Vanderveldt. 

Today, there are DeluxeBar locations in Norwell, Duxbury and Boston. Signature services include cosmetic injectables, medical-grade facials, face and body sculpting, and an IV Hydration + Vitamin Bar. The friendly staff at The DeluxeBar are trained on all of the most up-to-date techniques and spend time getting to know each client. "We have such a great team who have really helped us get to where we are today," says Daniels. Together, they strive to empower each client and foster an environment of body positivity. "At the end of the day," says Vanderveldt, "we want our clients to walk out feeling like a million dollars."
