Classic Tile & Stone, Inc. opened in the fall of 2003. Since its inception, sisters and business owners Julie Ryan and Kristin Henaghan set out to offer their clients the best in quality, service, and selection on the South Shore. They have a strong reputation amongst homeowners, designers, contractors and builders alike. Clients come from near and far when building or renovating as they know they can trust they are in good hands when working on one of their biggest investments, their home.
Classic Tile and Stone is a well-respected women-owned business in what traditionally is a very male-dominated industry. “When we started, that proved to be challenging but we have overcome much of the resistance and have gone on to be consistently voted Best of the South Shore as well as Best of Boston Home,” says Ryan. While some of the people who visit their Hingham showroom already have an idea of what they are looking for, many rely on Ryan and Henaghan for their expert guidance. “When a new client comes into our showroom, they can be very excited because they are finally doing a long-awaited renovation or building their dream home, or they can be completely overwhelmed,” says Henaghan. “It is our job to take the pressure off and make the entire process enjoyable. We want clients to be excited about the spaces they are creating.” From beautiful handmade artisan tiles to natural stones, ceramic, porcelain, glass, and cement, Classic Tile & Stone showcases materials for all styles and budgets.
Ryan and Henaghan have worked on many exciting design projects over the years, including gorgeous vacation homes all across the United States, chic boutique hotels, as well as several homes that have been filmed and featured on television.
Being an owner-operated showroom is one of the factors that sets their business apart. “Clients love that they are working with the owners and not a salesperson who is ready to clock out at 5 p.m.. They know we are just as invested in their project as they are,” says Henaghan. Customer service plays a huge role in keeping clients coming back over and over again. “We want our clients to leave knowing that no matter the size or scale of their project their job is important to us.”
