How has your role evolved over the years?
I started working at Artistic Dentistry 32 years ago as a lab assistant. I was 17 years old and in my junior year of high school. After graduating, I attended dental assisting school and became a certified dental assistant. I was named the practice manager 17 years ago.

What are the key personal strengths of a good office manager?
I feel you need to know your team and be able to navigate different personalities. I have also followed the advice of my mentor, Dr. Albert Pizzi, who recommended that I always surround myself with people who are better than me. I feel that I have a very strong team that knows what the goal is and that makes my job a lot easier.

What do you find most exciting about working in
the dentistry field?

Dentistry is very exciting. With all of the new technology that is now available, from crowns that can be completed in a day to implants and implant-supported dentures, we are able to improve our patients’ overall health and quality of life.

What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy working with the patients and helping to make a difference in their lives. My passion is to help make Artistic Dentistry of Hanover a successful business and I am so pleased to work with my dental family.
