Lunch & Learn: Women of Plymouth Colony

March 14 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free

Discover the lives of “extra”-ordinary English women during the Tudor and early Jacobean era. From women in the traditional domestic sphere to those women who went beyond it to become authors, landowners, monarchs, and lawbreakers, women’s everyday lives were both a product of and a contribution to new influences in all facets of life in the 17th century. The women of Plymouth Colony were part of this discourse, and we will explore how their lives reflected this changing world.

About the Speaker:

A former Massachusetts teacher, Hallyann has taught theater, literature, and writing for many years and has performed and directed in theaters around the Commonwealth.
