Plants available for sale\ninclude hostas\, lilies\, roses and many more annual and perennial plants. Additionally\, you can shop for\nwell-loved and gently used garden supplies directly from our members in our garden treasure tent sale.\nYou’ll find pots and garden tools as well as other items for the garden. \n“Our biennial plant sale is a wonderful opportunity for the community to fortify their personal gardens\nwith plants lovingly grown from our members”\, said WHGC President Audrey Barresi. “And the money\nraised funds our townwide beautification projects including maintaining over 20 traffic islands here in\nHanover\, as well as planting at the Stetson House and the rain garden located at Riley Hall”\, said Barresi. \nThe Walnut Hill Garden Club has been promoting the beautification of our hometown of Hanover since\n1967\, and in addition to traffic island maintenance\, the WHGC provides garden therapy and seasonal\nfloral design workshops for senior citizens and veterans\, support for Hanover High School’s Dirty Works\nGarden Club as well as kindergarten planting programs\, and presents scholarships annually for\ngraduating high school students. \nYou can learn more about getting involved with the club at the plant sales — green thumbs and novices\nalike are all invited to join! This year’s festival celebrates “Summer Styling” and features a garden tour of five beautiful seaside homes on Tuesday\, July 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Garden Tour will include tablescapes\, art\, music\, guided talks\, refreshments and more!  Online tickets to go on sale on May 2nd.\nOn Tuesday\, July 16th a “Summer Styling” hydrangea floral design presentation by Cornelia Reynolds\, owner of Consider the Lilies\, a flower shop in Duxbury\, will be offered at the Duxbury Free Library at 10:00 a.m. Cornelia will design a signature arrangement inspired by the coastal charm of its namesake\, ‘Duxbury Beach.’  Demonstration includes tablescapes\, refreshments and giveaways!
