The sale will take\nplace on Saturday\, May 30\, 2026\, at Riley Hall\, 17 Silver Street in Hanover beginning at 9:00 a.m. \nThe plant sale consists of flowers lovingly grown from the WHGC membership. Plants available for sale\ninclude hostas\, lilies\, roses and many more annual and perennial plants. Additionally\, you can shop for\nwell-loved and gently used garden supplies directly from our members in our garden treasure tent sale.\nYou’ll find pots and garden tools as well as other items for the garden. \n“Our biennial plant sale is a wonderful opportunity for the community to fortify their personal gardens\nwith plants lovingly grown from our members”\, said WHGC President Audrey Barresi. “And the money\nraised funds our townwide beautification projects including maintaining over 20 traffic islands here in\nHanover\, as well as planting at the Stetson House and the rain garden located at Riley Hall”\, said Barresi. \nThe Walnut Hill Garden Club has been promoting the beautification of our hometown of Hanover since\n1967\, and in addition to traffic island maintenance\, the WHGC provides garden therapy and seasonal\nfloral design workshops for senior citizens and veterans\, support for Hanover High School’s Dirty Works\nGarden Club as well as kindergarten planting programs\, and presents scholarships annually for\ngraduating high school students. \nYou can learn more about getting involved with the club at the plant sales — green thumbs and novices\nalike are all invited to join! DESCRIPTION:The show will feature over 150 quilts created by members of the Guild\, raffle and silent auction items\, vendors and refreshments\, and highlight the work of Guild member Holly Carpenter of Marshfield. Attendees are invited to vote for their favorite pieces in the show. According to Guild president Anne Stanton\, people should “come to the show to rediscover and American art form that is alive and well 250 years after the founding of our country… everyone will be surprised by the variety of quilts we will have on display.” Guild members will be available to answers questions that visitors have. \nPrior to the show\, the Raffle Quilt will be displayed at local quilt shops. This quilt was designed and created by Guild members for the quilt show. Information and raffle tickets will be available for purchase at each location.
