Elaine is a lover of ekphrastic poetry and haiku\, holds a journalism degree from Suffolk University\, facilitates the Duxbury Poetry Circle and lives in Pembroke with her husband Ed.

Founded in 2002\, the Friends of Holly Hill Farm is a 501c3 non-profit Certified Organic farm with an educational mission that serves thousands each year on the farm and in the greater South Shore Community. \nThe non-profit organization is committed to responsible and sustainable farming methods for growing vegetables\, herbs\, seedlings\, and flowers for the local communities\, including supporting people facing food insecurity. The organization’s Farm to Food Pantry program donates thousands of pounds of healthy food and flowers to seven local food pantries year-round\, and its farm stand provides food to participating families through the Holly Hill Farm SHARES program and proudly accepts SNAP payments.  \nFHHF has partnerships with over 40 schools from the South Shore to Boston\, and provides year-round on-the-farm educational programs for children – including three consecutive years as Best of the South Shore for its summer programs. More than 20\,000 students participate in programs on the farm\, in classrooms\, and in school gardens each year. Adults are invited to attend engaging workshops and guided walks on the farm\, and in the community\, led by experienced educators and experts in the field.
