Founder of Spark by Simone sparkbysimone.com
For Simone Bernstein, connection has always been at the heart of her work. The owner of Barre3 in Brookline, she spent years building a loyal community around movement and wellness. When one of her studios closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, she looked for a new way to bring people together—and found it in an unexpected place: jewelry.
What began as a passion project soon blossomed into Spark by Simone, a permanent jewelry business offering custom-fit, welded-on bracelets, anklets and necklaces. Since launching in 2023, the brand has become known for its one-of-a-kind pop-up experiences across Greater Boston and the South Shore. At these events, Simone helps clients commemorate life’s milestones—from weddings and birthdays to new babies and even the memory of beloved pets. “It’s a gift to be part of people’s moments, big or small,” she says.
Whether she’s hosting a bachelorette celebration, surprising wedding guests with day-of gifts, or helping a company show appreciation to its team, she creates events where connection and creativity shine.
Simone frequently teams up with other women-owned businesses for pop-ups at local businesses like Barrel House Z in Weymouth and Break Rock Brewing in Quincy. “Small business owners—especially women—need to stick together,” she says.
Today, Spark by Simone hosts at least two South Shore events each month. For Simone, every welded link is more than jewelry—it’s a memory made permanent.
