Several of the South Shore’s best chefs took part in South Shore YMCA’s 26th Annual Taste of the South Shore. The reimagined event took place on March 29 and featured a chef competition at Lombardo’s in Randolph that was presented virtually. Guests tuned in via computer or mobile device to watch the action from home while enjoying a gourmet “heat and eat” Taste Dinner Box, which included four-course meals prepared by area restaurants, paired with local craft beers or wines. Billy Costa of KISS 108 FM and NESN’s Dining Playbook joined South Shore YMCA President Paul Gorman as emcees for the event, which raised over $230,000 to support the Y’s food pantry and community farms. Congratulations to Chef Mark Ellis of The Chef’s Table who won the “Best Dish” award.
