10 Years of Team South Shore Health Supporting Local Cancer Care through the Pan-Mass Challenge

Team South Shore Health is a group of cyclists made up of cancer survivors, health system colleagues, and community members from across the region who are dedicated to strengthening local cancer programs and resources.

The Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) bike-a-thon is one of the most-recognized fundraising events in the country

Their mission is to raise funds for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

South Shore Health, our community health system that includes South Shore Hospital, South Shore Medical Center, South Shore Visiting Nurse Association, and many more entities, has been participating in the PMC since 2016. Team South Shore Health is a group of cyclists made up of cancer survivors, health system colleagues, and community members from across the region who are dedicated to strengthening local cancer programs and resources.

What makes Team South Shore Health unique is that 100% of funds raised by the team’s riders remain right here in the community, supporting prevention, education, and screening efforts at the Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center at South Shore Health in S. Weymouth.

The team is looking to expand its roster for PMC 2025. New riders, single riders, and riders from any team can choose to keep their dollars local and direct them to the South Shore Health PMC fund.

All riders who support South Shore Health, regardless of team affiliation, receive transportation to the Sturbridge start, fundraising and marketing support, access to a dedicated team physical therapist, and more.
