Victoria Lowrey

When confronted with the most difficult hardship imaginable, Victoria Lowrey came to realize that she had the strength not only to carry on, but to thrive. She and her late husband, Jake Lowrey, established Lowrey Financial Group (LFG) in 2005. Victoria, who was working at the management consulting firm McKinsey & Co. at the time, helped her husband build LFG behind the scenes, developing a marketing plan, answering phones, and greeting clients.

The Lowreys established LFG to make a difference in people’s lives by offering a suite of financial planning services for retirement and pre- retirement clients. Having lost his own mother to cancer when he was only 19, Jake understood the importance of having a solid plan in place. “When his mom died, he had to manage her estate while he was grieving,” says Victoria. “He wanted to help people and make things easier for them.” Jake also became known as the host of a popular weekly radio show on WRKO and would answer caller questions on a wide range of financial topics.

After her husband’s sudden death last year, Victoria committed herself to forging ahead with the business she and her husband had started together. With her now-11-year-old twins to raise and the family business to run, she has continued to build a future for her family while honoring her late husband’s legacy.

“He was my best friend,” says Victoria. “It’s hard, but you have to keep going. I’m so grateful for everything we have and so glad we had a plan. Everyone should have a plan.”

Lowrey Financial Group is based in Hingham and has two additional satellite offices in Beverly and Waltham. The firm offers a range of retirement services, including retirement planning strategies, tax strategies, asset protection and long-term care planning, estate planning, and life insurance. Victoria and her team of knowledgeable financial advisors get to know clients on a personal level and design plans to meet their individual needs and goals. In addition to providing financial services, the LFG team has also been a dedicated supporter of the Jimmy Fund and Mercy Ships, a global charitable organization that provides healthcare for children and families in need. “We truly care about people,” says Victoria. “I treat every client like a family member. They have worked so hard and we want to help make the retirement process easier, so they can enjoy the second part of their lives. They deserve it.”
