Working Together and Building Community

A work-from-home job can be a joy, but it can also be a headache. There are often distractions, such as noisy family members, pets, and household chores that beg to be done. For people who occasionally need a more professional work environment, coworking spaces are a great solution. Here are two coworking ventures founded by female entrepreneurs that pair a clean workspace with a feeling of camaraderie.

SheShed-CoWorking

The She Shed

With a name like The She Shed, it comes as no surprise that this newly opened coworking space in East Bridgewater was designed to cater to women in business. Owner Jessica Moscardelli also owns three daycare centers on the South Shore, so she knows a lot about the challenges work-from-home mothers face. The She Shed is designed to be an inviting environment where local entrepreneurs, students and professionals can work remotely. There are several desk areas, a conference table and a private office for meetings. There is also a living room with comfortable couches, a kitchen with complimentary coffee, tea, water and snacks, and even an air hockey table for when people need a mental break. Moscardelli’s future plans include adding a creative warehouse space where members can store products, and a convenient podcasting room. 516 North Bedford St., East Bridgewater,

The Hive

Whether she’s planning corporate events or intimate networking luncheons, Valerie McSorley enjoys helping people to build meaningful relationships. The owner of Avant Garde Events and creator of the networking group Coardial Connections, McSorley opened The Hive in the summer of 2019. Located in Marshfield and catering to the needs of local business owners and entrepreneurs, The Hive is a versatile venue that is available for coworking and private event rentals. The space has a sleek, modern design, which makes it an ideal place to host a workshop, intimate fundraiser, pop-up experience or corporate retreat. Brands and businesses can also use the space to create digital content, record social media videos and take professional headshots.  769 Plain Street, Suite D, Marshfield, 617-935-9040, southshorehive.com
