Krista Manna’s interest in home construction was sparked at a very young age. Inspired by her grandfather, a high-end home developer, and her father, a jack-of-all-trades, she was the kind of kid who enjoyed raking leaves into “floor plans.” In high school, she spent summers helping out at her grandfather’s construction sites and she went on to attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where she acquired a five-year professional Bachelor of Architecture degree.

With over 15 years of experience in the design industry, Manna has worked on residential, corporate, tech and retail projects. She has helped to design for big name clients like Google, Bank of America, TD Bank, Pearson Education, and Drexel and Binghamton universities. It was starting her own business here on the South Shore, however, that brought her the most satisfaction.

Manna founded KR Architecture & Interiors in 2017. The company specializes in creating and modifying spaces to make it easier for people to enjoy the places they live and work. The most satisfying part of her job is being able to make her client’s dreams come true.

Owning her own firm has allowed the Abington resident to have a better work/life balance. “I work strange hours so that I can accommodate my two kids’ schedules,” says Manna. “But honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for the world. The freedom to be able to see my kids grow up while at the same time being able to grow my business makes it all worth it.”
