If one rave business review could sum up waxed. owner Sarah Long’s professional services it would be this: “She’s so personable, you feel like you’ve known her your whole life.” Fueled by a desire to give clients even more personal attention, the seasoned aesthetician and cosmetologist opened her own full-service skincare business, waxed., in 2017.

A Norwell resident and the mother to two boys, Long strives to make good skincare accessible to everyone. After working for 10 years at a top-rated salon, Long, a graduate of the Ailano School of Cosmetology and the Catherine Hinds Institute of Aesthetics, decided that opening her own business was not only a possibility, but a priority. “I’ve always been a hard worker,” says Long. “I also wanted the flexibility that came with running my own business.”

Awarded a “Best of the South Shore 2020” award for Hair Removal and Facials, waxed. offers everything from lash lifting and tint to airbrush tanning and a now-famous Brazilian speed wax. But what Long is most proud of is that she is able to make a luxury experience affordable.

The first entrepreneur in her family, Long credits her supportive parents for instilling her with a strong work ethic. She’s also a believer in taking chances.
